FREEDONIA GROUP - Industry Report

An industry report from the Freedonia Group in Ohio projects worldwide battery demand to increase the battery market from today's $47 billion to $61 billion by the year 2000.

The ACT technology is based on the principle called "Dynamic Electrochemical Waveform™," which works with the natural electrochemical processes in the batteries. It produces high efficiency rapid charging without overheating the batteries. It extends battery life and eliminates the memory effect that prematurely destroys battery capacity. Unlike conventional chargers that require the battery to be fully drained before a charge, the ACT charger can fully charge a battery -- and extend its life-- even if the battery is only partially drained. The technology was invented by Yury Podrazhansky, a Russian engineer who came to the U.S. in 1978. He was frustrated by having to throw away so many batteries from his son's toys.
